The new Inxs

I'm not really sure how I feel about the "new" Inxs. I loved the original Inxs when I was younger. Michael Hutchence was incredible. It's hard to replace someone like him. It was terrible to hear of his death. It came 2 months to the day my younger sister died. Michael just had this incredible sexy way about him as a front man. I remember a quote that Bono, the lead singer of U2 said about him. " He was oxygen, a light in a room, a light in the dark." I just think that you really can't replace an icon like him.
The guy they picked to front their band is pretty good. But is it really Inxs without MIchael? It just seemed odd to see them on VH1 playing live. JD, the new lead singer, is half their age. The guys in the band could be his father. It seems strange to me is all. I do like their new song, but it is hard for me to buy that this is Inxs, not seeing Michael in taking lead. JD has a lot to live up to!

Cavs- courtside seats!

Brian's boss called last night and asked us if we wanted to go to the game with him and his wife. He had courtside tickets. What idiot would turn that down? So I got to see Lebron James upclose. Not to mention a few other unexpected b-ball fans. Rapper Jay-Z and singer from Destiny's Child, Beyonce. We were pretty close to them. Even though the Cavs lost, I still had a great time being up close. Seeing the sweat drip off the players. Being able to read their lips when they were trash talking. Seeing every expression in Lebrons face. Especially when there were bs calls from the refs. It was great! I guess I can cross that off my list. I've always wanted to sit court side at a game! This year just keeps getting better.

Nikya- The mix master and pro decorator.

Nikya and I got to spend some time together. We made cookies and decorated our Christmas tree. She is quite a little pro at everything. Always wants to do it by herself.

Get to scratch one more thing off my life list!

I get to scratch one more thing off my life list. This is how it came about. Brian, this summer, got involved in Team In Training to run in honor of his little cousin who has leukemia. The guys that he met while doing this are tri-athletes. The asked him to to an Ironman in Nice, France. While looking at the map we realized that Nice is very close to the border of Italy. Brian talked to the guys last night and they are all interested in going to Rome. I have wanted to go to Italy for so long. I have famly that lives there that I have never met. Part of my heritage is a big part of Italy. I can't wait to see it! Not that I don't like the fact I'm going to France. That is great too! We will be able to visit Cannes and Monaco. It will be amazing to get to see those 2 countries. I told Brian that now that we will have seen Italy, we can go back to Ireland. I stil want to see Greece. But for the time being, Italy was big on my list. I've wanted to see Greece because that is where western civilization started. I think it would be amazing to see it. This is going to be great! I can't wait!
